This familiarity with the story did however highlight a minor flaw in this edition: the line "Perhaps if I give him a scare" has been changed to "Maybe I'll give him a scare" which doesn't flow quite as well, and which causes consternation on the part of our daughter, who also has the paperback edition with the original line.
