Polishing a Japanese sword is as complex as making it. The steel has a bit of a dark appearance, so a polisher must bring out all the details in the steel surface, including the jihada (grain pattern) and hamon (temperline pattern) while making a functional blade. A polisher also makes the sharp edge and refines its shape. The polish of the blade affects the appearance of the jigane. In the manga, Ipponume tells him to go clean the bathtub, while in the anime she tells him to take out the garbage. After Oden's death, Enma was inherited by his daughter, Kozuki Hiyori. Hiyori would later gift the sword to Roronoa Zoro in exchange for the latter allowing Shusui, a national treasure, to remain in Wano. Enma: The masterpiece of legendary swordsmith Shimotsuki Kozaburo and one of the 21 O Wazamono, Enma is one of the best swords in the world, with Kozuki Hiyori considering it a worthy replacement even for the legendary Shuusui. Tenguyama Hitetsu described Enma as being able to “slice into the depths of the underworld” (alongside Ame no Habakiri being able to “slice the sky itself”).
The ji-nie can be fine and evenly distributed throughout the blade or concentrated in certain areas. Generally, a high-quality ji-nie is fine and uniform. Still, some styles are intentional, especially if a smith designed it to be rough and obvious. Zoro was left with only Wado Ichimonji after two of his swords were broken in his fight with Dracule Mihawk. After arriving at Loguetown, he went into Ipponmatsu's arms shop to buy two more swords. The owner of the shop recognized Wado Ichimonji and asked Zoro to see the blade. Ipponmatsu tried to fool Zoro to sell his sword for a hefty price, but Zoro refused to sell it for any price. [2] Nidai Kitetsu is a sword that is one of the 21 swords in the Ô Wazamono category. It is part of the cursed swords created by Kitetsu along with the Shodai Kitetsu and the Sandai Kitetsu. It was forged by Kotetsu. Little is known about the Nidai Kitetsu and its abilities. However, this saber must also be powerful and resistant since it is part of the 21 O Wazamono.

Zoro commented that the sword is a "problem child", most notable, it's rather bloodthirsty, wanting to make him cut things without his direction. Feeling this, Zoro started giving Sandai Kitetsu more attention to ensure it acts on his direction. [5] Zoro prefers to place Wado Ichimonji in his mouth when using his Three Sword Style, though prior to the timeskip, he uses it when using his One Sword Style in some battles. After the timeskip, he appears to favor Shusui when using his One Sword Style.
The panel of Zoro keeping Sandai Kitetsu in the manga is extremely similar to that of Zoro keeping Enma. Ame no Habakiri: Ame no Habakiri is a Meito that belonged to Kozuki Oden, who used it with another Meito, Enma. It is one of the 21 O Wazamono and was forged by Tenguyama Hitetsu who considers it his masterpiece. The masterpiece of swordsmith Tenguyama Hitetsu and one of the 21 O Wazamono, Ame no Habakiri is one of the best swords in the world.
The most recent addition to Zoro’s arsenal, Enma used to belong to Oden and has proved to be his most valuable asset in the ongoing fight against Kaido and his forces. The sword can draw out an impressive amount of Busoshoku Haki, which has allowed Zoro to develop considerably as a fighter. Zoro will need to get the most out of all his current swords if he and the rest of the Straw Hats want to come out of Wana as victors. The jigane has notable features, from its color to grain patterns ( jihada). Its texture is also influenced by some activities within and along the hamon (temperline pattern) and the blade’s body ( ji). It is especially true when the blade is polished, and the jigane shows more unrefined areas. This expression means to reveal one’s true character. The formations of ji-nie may appear like water droplets and are called yubashiri (湯走り), which literally means “running hot water”. They are common on Kamakura-era Yamato, Yamashiro, or Soshu blades. The Shigure is a katana belonging to the Meito category. It is currently owned by Tashigi. The Shigure is a katana with a green hilt and a hilt made up of four petals, or square sides. The blade itself is normal. The sheath is elaborate, the upper half being green and bumpy; the lower half is white and smooth. There are circular designs embedded all over the sheath. Ipponmatsu has a good relationship with his wife. He calls her "honey" and "dear" and cleans the bathtub for her. However, Ipponume thinks that he is a "cheapskate". Enma has the particularity of drawing “Ryuo” (Armament Haki) from its wielder in excessive amounts when used, cutting much harder than intended. This makes him extremely unwieldy, so much so that before she was given to Zoro, Oden was the only one who had ever tamed Enma. After testing the saber for the first time, Zoro accidentally cut off a large section of the cliff while attempting to cut down just one tree, with Enma not only forcing hardening, but also emaciating his entire arm. When used by Zoro, Yubashiri was one of the three swords for his Three Sword Style style and it was typically used along with Sandai Kitetsu in his Two Sword Style techniques. When the sword was destroyed, Zoro replaced it with Shusui.
